The Capture of Savannah happened on December 29,1778 and it took place at Savannah, Georgia. The British won the battle. The United States killed 83, wounded 11, and captured 453. The British killed 7, wounded 17, and captured 0.The commander for the United States was Robert Howe and the commander for the British was Archibald Campbell. The Capture of Savannah should be remembered because we didn’t win the fight because Great Britain had more people than us and we lost 7 people and wounded 17 that may not seem like a bunch but it is compared to Great Britain.Lakeside Press
